Hartshill Hayes Open Day 9 September, 2017 | |
This is an opportunity to enjoy Hartshill's spectacular woodland scenery as it comes to life. Visitors will be able to experience a wide range of activities from hands on willow weaving by the reclaimed Spencer Jenkins through to a demonstration of chainsaw carving, and family walks/talks about the wood. Active woodland management will be a topic of conversation with the Warwickshire County Council forestry team which will give people the opportunity to learn more about Country Parks Woodland Management and the work of the foresters. If you are feeling hungry the Rangers will be selling baked potatoes cooked over an open fire which can be enjoyed sitting on timber seats in the woods. The tea kiosk will also be open for refreshments and hot and cold drinks. More information is available on the County Councils website www.warwickshire.gov.uk/parks [+ go back...] |
